Hi. These are only two of many many mp3s recovered by myself from tapes I made a long time ago. One is piano, one is layered, tracked synthesizer.
Some background: I have synethesia. Sound to color and words to textures. I always played music but was never very good. Around High School I took up piano and found I loved to compose. I constantly played and recorded stuff. I tried majoring in music when I first went to college but that was a wrong take. I continued to play for a few years, accumulating synthesizers and building what I could to mix and record. Soon, though, it became difficult to play. My head would hurt. I gave it up.
I still love music and love my experience with it. My favorite consistent composer is Hiromi - best sounding music and best-looking music I have ever experienced.
What I present below are two favs and pretty good examples of what I accomplished back in 1976-82. They are NOT by any means great playing nor is the piano recorded in a 'studio' way. I was never very good, technically. They just are a look into me.
